What Has NLP Done For Me?

NLP came into my life at a time when I was experiencing relationship problems.
I had not heard of this science prior to my sessions with an NLP practitioner and so naturally I was sceptical at first. I noticed positive changes in myself after as little as two sessions. I was so intrigued that I took up a study of NLP as soon as I arrived in The Netherlands in 2001.

NLP has addressed a lot more than just my relationship. It has helped me make sense of my world.

Here are some of the things I experienced as a result of NLP:

  • I was able to make a mental journey into my past experiences, heal what needs to be healed and take the learnings from those experiences and apply them in my present and future.

  • I was able to forgive myself, and others. One of the results of this is having a better relationship with my mother.

  • I learnt about myself and how I think and make sense of the world around me and, in turn understand how others also perceive the world.

  • As a result I made positive changes in the way I communicate, the way I relate and the way I parent.

  • I discovered my learning style and so learning became easier and more fun. This was also useful in helping my kids to find their learning style too.

  • I had higher self- esteem and self worth and became more confident and assertive.

  • I was able to achieve rapport with people quite easily and naturally.

  • I believed in myself and in my abilities.

  • I was able to achieve the goals I set out to achieve.

  • I became more fit and healthy.

  • I became happier and had a positive outlook on life.

  • I was able to motivate myself, and others around me.

  • I was able to find a balance between doing the things I needed to do for myself, like work, and also take care of my family.

NLP had also an impact on my surroundings. That is not surprising as when you change, the world around you changes too.

And finally I was able to make a living from the thing I love most in life and that is assisting others to make positive changes in their lives.
